Today is the last day of my internship! I have a whole bunch of mixed emotions, but I am really excited to not commute everyday. I loved the people that I worked with and am really going to miss them.
On a happier note, Chad and I are leaving early tomorrow morning for Colorado to visit where Chad grew up. We are so excited, so hopefully we have fun news when we get back!

Engaged!!!
Saturday August 16, 2008 Chad proposed!.
It all started that morning...
Chad and I spend almost all of our free time together, so when he was too busy to hangout and did not want help cleaning for his apartment checkout that morning, I knew something was going on. I was bored on a Saturday morning without him, so I decided to get my haircut and meet up with him later.
He told me that he planned a date night and that I needed to dress up, so I got really excited and called my mom to tell her that I thought that, that night was going to be the night he proposed, and proceeded to get ready.
Chad called me to tell me that he was on his way to pick me up, so I went outside on the grass to wait for him. Then, he walked up with a beautiful rose and told me we were heading to Kiwanis Park (where we had our first kiss). He had a blanket and chess in the back seat of the car, and said that we were going to play chess at the park for a little while. At this point I thought it was a done deal.
Once we arrived we starting walking and I could see in the distance a blanket covered in rose pedals, and I started to get really excited. We sat down on the blanket and there I found a dozen roses (they were beautiful).
He then got down on one knee and opened a ring case...BUT to my shock the ring inside was a cheap Walmart ring and he began laughing really hard. I hit him on the shoulder and called him a dork. He said that I should have known that he would not make the proposal that obvious. I needed to be surprised (foreshadowing)...

So, we layed down on the blanket and played some chess. After I lost (I always lose :( ) He said that since we were all dressed up, we should still go to dinner. I agreed and started to cleanup all of the rose pedals... I turned around while cleaning and found Chad on one knee holding a different ring box. I was in shock. He opened it up and said, "Will you marry me."
I thought I would cry but in actuality started laughing because I had been tricked TWICE. I said yes and then we went to dinner at Tucanos.
