M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I

Chad and I are moving to Mississipi this summer. He will be interning with Lockheed Martin. We are really excited and can't wait to start this crazy adventure.

The plane above is called the C-130J (Hercules). He will be documenting the manufacturing process for this plane this summer.

Valentines Day

Chad surprised me early for Valentines day this year!!

He wanted me to actually be surprised, so we had our Valentines celebration Friday night.

I had, had a long day grading investment tests (I graded most of them twice, since the key was done incorrectly and I only recognized the mistake half-way through correcting -- who thinks to check the professors work for correctness?)

Chad had gone home earlier than me (for once - he is so busy) and set it all up. It worked out perfectly because after he had gone home early to set up his surprise, he had a basketball game at school, so I walked straight from school to the game.

After his game (which they won by the way) we drove home. I opened the door to our apartment and to my COMPLETE surprise our floor was covered in rose pedals, leading up to a little display of flowers, candy and a card. It was really sweet and really cute. I was actually shocked and excited to eat all the chocolate :) -- maybe Valentines day is not the dumbest holiday afterall...

Our Little Home

Chad and I spent the first two weeks of marriage decorating our little home.

To the right is the desk that we fought for. When we moved in, our management said that they were out of desks. We pay for a furnished apartment, so i kindly debated with our management for either a desk or a monthly rent discount. Needless to say, we got a brand new desk (the other tenants have old dingy desks). Now, Chad does not think that my type A personality is all that bad, but he still stands by the fact that it can be embarrassing. (Eg. discount on Macys dinnerware because of little scratches --needless to say I got 10% off --I am my mother's daughter)

To the left is our beautiful bed.
It is really
important to Chad to have a comfortable bed.

This bed is fully loaded:

  • -400 thread count sheets
-Extra soft blanket (forgot what it's called)
    -Down comforter
    -Beautiful bed spread
    -BIG pillows

We love our little bathroom - minus the incredibley loud fan - most of all we love our beautiful shower curtain. We also have a toilet cover and rug that match the shower curtain. Chad likes to step out of the shower onto our soft rug :)

Below is our little kitchen. We love to
cook so its nice to have room all to ourselves.

Lastly, above is our little living room/TV room. We were given lots of cute little decorations from our wedding.

A closer look is given below so that mom can see the decorations!

We love living together and coming home to our little apartment!

Sleep...who needs it!

Chad and I have gotten back in the swing of late night studying, early rising, and still failing quizzes :) College life is always full of these uplifting moments.

I think it is the third week of school or something, and we are feeling it. Between Chad's many labs, class, work and homework, and my TA jobs, subbing at the clinic, classes and homework, we are busy busy!

On a happier note, my mom came into town this past weekend and helped with the wedding plans, and by helped I mean she did everything hard and I just tagged along. Moms are the best! It is now only 3.5 months away until we get married, so we are really excited for that, but still trying to get through the chaos of it all.

Also, we are in the recruiting processes (or trying to be) for internships (Chad) and a job (Danielle), and hope that during all these crazy economic times, we will still be able to find good employment.

Since I am writing this BLOG to get away from the monotony of homework, but will now have to stay up just that much later because of it, I must return.

School Schmool!

Well, Chad and I are back in school and enjoying and enduring the challenges that come with that. He has a pretty rigorous schedule with work and his many lab hours, and I am actually forseeing a lighter schedule than I am used to. What can I say, senioritis much??

Because school makes our lives pretty boring, there is not much to say except that we are excited and grateful for our educational opportunities, even more excited for football season, and trying to avoid the awful sicknesses that spread through BYU campus. We are currently both fighting off the beginnings of nasty colds. Gotta love Utah weather I guess. One day its incredibly hot and the next its FREEZING!

...Off to do homework :(

Summer is Ending...

Today is the last day of my internship! I have a whole bunch of mixed emotions, but I am really excited to not commute everyday. I loved the people that I worked with and am really going to miss them.

On a happier note, Chad and I are leaving early tomorrow morning for Colorado to visit where Chad grew up. We are so excited, so hopefully we have fun news when we get back!
