This week Chad was offered an awesome opportunity!
This whole year his Capstone group has been working on developing new football pads to disperse impact and decrease injuries. By the end of the semester they plan on having a complete prototype and a PATENT for the technology.
His sponsor wants 3-4 prototypes to send to companies, including UNDER ARMOUR, to sell the technology, so Chad and the rest of his team were offered jobs to continue the development after graduation through June!
He is so excited because it is perfect timing and he won't be bored before he starts OLDP in July!
I am also happy because I was really annoyed/jealous/bummed Chad would sleep in for 8 weeks as I continued to work. Too bad he can't now :)

That sounds awesome! Hopefully they can make a lot of money off that patent :)
Well the students sign their rights away in the beginning because the sponsors pay BYU $20,000 per project for the students to work on. So we won't make any money, but they will!
