People have been asking for pictures of our new apartment. I have been avoiding them BECAUSE it took forever to unpack! Not to mention we are dealing with insurance claims for damaged goods... the adventures of moving...
I finally finished unpacking and organizing EVERYTHING. There are still a few touch ups needed here and there but overall we are DONE. We love it and actually love Georgia so far. Who would have known I was a Southerner at heart ;)
Below is our new apartment here in Hotlanta (Marietta, GA)

EVEN BETTER NEWS...
Once we found out that Chad was going to be working for Lockheed Martin and we were moving to GA. I began applying for jobs at Lockheed Martin too. I had little luck with ZERO response for a while. In fact I did not even get rejection emails - I just felt like I was not even on their radar.
Then 2 days after my last day at WebBank, I got a call from Lockheed for an interview. They thought that I lived in Utah, so were going to fly me out for an interview. I informed them that I was moving to Georgia in two weeks, so we set up an interview for July 1 (two days after we arrived in GA).
I went to the interview and it went really well. The position was exciting and stressful, but would keep me busy. I also liked that I would actually be PAID for overtime past 40 hrs and that Chad and I would have the same Friday-off schedule.
Two weeks later, I called the recruiter for an update (impatient me) and he told me that I GOT THE JOB.
I am so excited. I will be a Proposal Analyst for the C 130 J project starting Aug 2 (or Aug 9 if my background check takes long)...
Another fun thing: Chad joined the OLDP softball league, so it looks like we will still be going to softball games once a week :)

The place looks great - and congrats on the job!! Holy cow - you guys are living the life!! Fridays off? Seriously?
WOW! Everything looks so nice! Brandon would be really impressed that you even have curtains :) Did you get all new furniture--couches, bedroom set, kitchen table? But even cooler about your job. Congrats guys!!
Danielle! Everything sounds so wonderful! And your apartment looks great! Life sounds good ;)
So glad to hear that everything is working out for you guys. Congrats with everything!
i love the apartment! looks very nice.
Looks like you have settled right in......your colors look very "familiar".....everything looks GREAT!!!!!
I love your apartment! It's WAY classier than anything Justin and I had when we first moved here, lol! Though I couldn't help but notice that your fridge is lacking in art/photo displays. I think tomorrow just might have to be a 'draw pictures for Aunt Danielle and Uncle Chad' day ;).
And congratulations on your new job! I'm not surprised you got it - seriously, who WOULDN'T want to hire you?! :)
The apartment looks great and congrats on the job! When I first saw the title to your post I freaked becuase I thought "the news" was that you were pregnant!
Your new place looks AWESOME!!! I am glad that you are loving Georgia... Brandon is still loving the job and had a great time on his business trips. We miss having movie and game nights with you guys - Brandon has been complaining that we don't have treats anymore... I tell him it is because we don't have people to share them with and we don't need the whole pan to ourselves!!!
Wow, your guys' place is sweet! I never knew you could get carpet in the south, and I am officially jealous of the digs.
